Income tax Department shoots Aamir and Akshay

Two jewels of Bollywood are busy shooting a documentary produced by the Income Tax Department to disperse the message of tax compliance. The entire documentary is narrated in the voice of Om Puri and spans around 20 minutes in length. The documentary will also cast Priyanka Chopra.

Aamir and Akshay have been selected for the documentary so as to project themselves as the role model for the people as they are the highest taxpayers from Bollywood. Akshay paid an advance tax of Rs 9 crore in March this year, taking his total advance tax payment in the current financial year to Rs 18 crore. Aamir with an advance tax payment of Rs 12 crore stands second.

‘The star personality will depict themselves as the youth and spirit of the country and they pay their tax responsibly’ an IT official involved in the project said. He further gave a slight idea of the documentary that it chronicles the journey of taxation in the country.’ Initially, a 20 minute version of the documentary will be released and later an eight minute version will come into picture’, he added.

The documentary will be unveiled by the Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee during the first ever Income Tax day celebrations on July 24 in New Delhi. The speakers at the event will include Narayan Murthy and Azim Premji.

The 150^th anniversary of the Income tax day to mark 150 years of taxation of the country is going to be celebrated by the Income Tax Department. This would also be the last year for the Income Tax Act, 1961, as the proposed Direct Taxes Code (DTC) will over write it from the next financial year.

Tweeter Car, revolution in automobile technology

Another car revolution not only for the car lovers but also for the tech savvies. Singer lady Gaga and US President Mr. Barrack Obama are the few fans of the car to name which actually can tweet like human.

The car that can tweet is AJ, a future model of Ford Fiesta. The car will tweet when the automobile will be connected with the internet. The New York Times has reported that in the month of May on an exhibition the car had given a message as “It’s getting pretty dark; time to put the headlights on”.

Joe Rork, the information technology architect in Ford informed that the AJ’s mood remains joyful in a good weather and when there is no traffic. The tests with AJ were a natural extension of this strategy to see what’s possible when the car is connected and online all the time, “since mainly off-the-shelf hardware was used, including a high-speed cellular data connection, a Wi-Fi router and a Dell computer running Windows 7 in the trunk, any car could be turned into a Twitter mobile..”, Rork added.

The software “Auto” can retrieve data from windshield wipers, steering input and GPS data. The software can combine, say, real-time traffic notices about congestion with its current situation (stop-and-go braking) and weather forecasts (storms ahead) and then send a Twitter entry like, “Stuck in traffic; not looking forward to next 50 miles, either.”

Foursquare software can also be installed along with auto which also can retrieve the restaurants and tourist spots on the go.

Mumbai University TYBCom Results 2010 not confirmed yet

The Mumbai University TYBCom result is expected to be available online soon on the official MU results website but there has been no confirmation on the same yet. The official website of the Mumbai University often goes un-responsive and from the last record we have of July 22, the results for B. Com. (B & I) Sem. – V and B. Com. (A & F) Sem. – V were the only results available.

As per a report published on TOI, the result is expected to be released within a week or two. The same has been already delayed this year for about a month now and we are still trying to get the final confirmation from the official website.

Students are advised to check back the official website of the Mumbai University for the result updates. We will also post an update here as soon as we have anything.

Bihar Legislature sees the ‘flying slippers’

An abashing moment was witnessed in Bihar Assembly when the MLAs lost their sense and turned insane over the decision of suspension of 16 members over unruly behavior. It is alleged that the opposition MLAs shot a pair of slippers at the speaker on Wednesday.

Seeing the defiance of MLAs, the Speaker Mr. Udai Narayan Choudhary asked to marshal out the obstinate members that included 10 RJD MLAs, one each of CPI-M and CPI-ML and two independents. At this decision, the members became hostile and a slipper was thrown at Speaker. Immediately after this rowdy incident 58 more MLAs were suspended and entire opposition went out of the house to protest against the suspension.

Today was the second day of the Assembly, which has been activated by the opposition demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar over a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report alleging financial irregularities in the state.

On the first day of the Assembly RJD, LJP and congress MLAs showed their rage against the ruling party and it got worst with time. Sources say that the lawmakers were throwing furniture at each other and broke microphones. Seeing this disorder in both the houses speaker had adjourned the Assembly early and suspended few members. Today, immediately after the Assembly resumed chaos engulfed the House again.

RJD leader Lalu Prasad and LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan have not condemned the MLAs’ conduct and are likely to step up their agitation for the Chief Minister’s resignation.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that ‘Opposition have turned insane. Just to get publicity there are doing this crap activity. People should not pay heed to them’.

UPMSSCB PGT Allahabad Exam Result 2010 online

The UPMSSCB or UP Madhyamik Shiksha Sewa Chayan Board has reportedly declared the results for the PGT results 2010. The results are, however, not yet available online and we will post the direct link once we have an update on the same.

According to some reports, the TGT results are also expected to be declared in the last week of July, 2010. We could not, however find any official report on the same online.
