Despite of aid provided by India to the Pakistan for its devastating flood,” All is not well” between the two countries as it has been revealed that Pakistan accepted Indian aid after US call as the people in Pakistan still seem divided over the acceptance of offer.

After being struck by devastating flood which is worst in the history of Pakistan in the last 8 decades has soaked one fifth of the total land of Pakistan, affected twenty million people and made 6 million people shelter less.

In order to improve the existing condition, United Nations held an emergency session of the General Assembly on Pakistan’s flood which was attended by Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Quereshi. In the session Shah announced that Pakistan accepted Indian help of $5 million. He also accepted that the Indian aid offer was accepted on the call of US.

This acceptance of proposal is criticized by some critics and there were some people who backed the government’s decision .Former Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar told that it was beyond understanding that the government accepted the offer.

The editor of Nation Daily, Shireen Mazar, criticized in the hardest possible way regarding the acceptance of Indian aid by Pakistan on the call of US and showing its weakness to the US by accepting such a meagre aid.

She also wrote about the recent charges filed by India against Pakistan as it alleges Pakistanis involvement in stirring the Kashmiri agitation for separacy from the Indian Territory.

However, former foreign secretary Zaki said that the rejection of the offer would further cause hurdle in relations as on one hand Pakistan is calling for dialogue to improve conditions.
