With only a month left in the commencement of the Commonwealth Games 2010, Home Minister of India P Chidambaram has shown his concern for the security status for the upcoming mega event in the host city, New Delhi, and to review it he is to hold a high level meeting on Wednesday.

In order to take the stock of the measures being put in the Commonwealth Games and to ensure the safety of the participants in the game, the Home Minister who is holding the meeting has summoned many officials. During the meeting, a step taken by the officials to make the game incident free and successful is likely to be reviewed.

As per report of the sources, it has been reported that Delhi Police Commissioner Y S Dadwal is likely to give presentation over the deployment of the security personnel at different sites, traffic plans and contingency plans for any emergency that could creep in.

As per security plans, Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, the main venue of the game is having the highest level of security with CCTV cameras installed at thousands of places and even movement of the people has been planned to be checked at different checkpoints. Moreover, athletes, officials and guests can visit the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium only by bus and no VIPs, except the heads of state, will be allowed to take their cars in. Parking arrangement has been made for 150 buses at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.

Earlier, Y S Dadwal had announced that Delhi police was all set for the game and he had shown his satisfaction over the level of preparation of the security personnel for the game.

The 12-day extravaganza is scheduled from 3^rd-14^th October 2010.
