Former Pakistan president Musharraf says he is being requested to come back to Pakistan by over 2lakh facebook fans. The former president is right now residing in Britain and he is all set to fight for the election in the term.
Pervez Musharraf has reportedly told a private TV channel that “200,000 of his Facebook fans are asking him to return to the country”. Addressing his fellow party men of the All-Pakistan Muslim League, he said that Pakistan has the potential to become a prosperous and developed country.
Musharraf was pronounced guilty and he was removed from power in 2008. He has been living in Britain ever since.
At least 12 militants have been killed in US drone strikes today in Waziristan, Pakistan. According to a news report released by Yahoo India, the people who were killed in the strike also include some foreigners. The incident took place in the north west region of Pakistan where many Taliban and Al Qaida operatives are hiding right now.
In the US drone strike, two missiles were fired, the target being a house in north region of Waziristan. The house was suspected to be hosting terrorists. The attack destroyed the house killing six militant who were hiding inside the house. Many others were injured and some of them died on the way to a nearby hostpital.
The complete details and identities of all the deads are not known yet. Some of them are believed to be foreign militants, most probably Al Qaida.
