Taliban Guerrillas attacked 2 mosques in Lahore today in Garhi Shahu and Model Town areas of Lahore. Today, being the holy Friday, around 1500 worshippers who had gathered in the mosque to offer their prayers. These gunmen held the worshippers as hostage. The guerrillas have been reported to be heavily armed and carried hand grenades. They even started opening fire inside the mosques.

Security forces have immediately come into operation to rescue these innocent and panicked worshippers. Till the last news received, almost 30 people were injured and gunfire is going on.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Punjab has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Also policemen were attacked and killed in another violence which took place in the capital province of Baluchistan, Quetta. 4 policemen were immediately killed. However the gunmen fled on their motorcycle without being caught.
