Mandira Bedi’s tattoo sparks wrath from Sikh Community again

Mandira Bedi, who is a model-turned-actress and TV anchor, has once again got into the bad books of the Sikh community. She was seen sporting an ‘Ek Onkar’ (God is one) tattoo on her nape. The community leaders are threatening to pull her to the court for hurting their religious sentiments. She was asked to remove the tattoo as soon as possible.

Mandira Bedi was at a dealers meet at Jaypee Cements in the outskirts of Chandigarh along with Sachin Tendulkar. There she was seen flaunting the tattoo on her bare nape. This is the second time she has earned the wrath of the Sikh community. Earlier she was warned by the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) in 2007 for walking the ramp flaunting the same tattoo.

Mandira said she has due respect for the religious sentiments of the Sikhs and that she has to undergo a plastic surgery to remove the tattoo, but couldn’t find enough time to do the same. The special secretary of SGPC said that he would move to the court against her if she didn’t remove the tattoo as soon as possible. She would be penalized under action for deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings or any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs. Mandira has been a time of two months to remove the tattoo off her nape.

Hrithik had plans to quit after Jodha Akbar

The heartthrob of the Indian cinemas had such plans in minds that his fans wouldn’t every want him to o. Hrithik Roshan had plans of quitting movies after Jodha Akbar. Hrithik reportedly slipped into depression since the movie.

This 36 year old actor injured himself so severely during the shooting of his historical hit movie; Jodha Akbar directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, that he considered acting not a part of him. Before the shooting of Kites which has indeed a number of high rage action scenes, the actor has consulted his doctor. And the doctors told him, it would be difficult for him to unction after this. With this hunk was entirely heart broken.

Hrithik says that he even went to the verge of considering an alternative career in singing or direction.  The thought of compromising his career and not being able to move or dance anymore, made Hrithik go weak on his knees.  The actor had sustained a number of injuries during his movies, Krishh and Koi Mil gaya. He had injured his hand severely during the shooting of his forthcoming movie, Kites, where in he has to break the glass with his hand.

Deepika-Neil, the next Bollywood couple?

The Bollywood will soon have two good buddies to watch on. They are none other than the Bangalorean beauty, Deepika Padukone and the man with the Indian blood but foreigner looks, Neil Nitin Mukesh. The duo had recently wrapped up the shooting of their next flick, Lafangey, directed by Pradeep Sarkar.

So far, not much news has cropped up about the two. But it was reported that, the actress had tremendous fun during the shooting of the movie both on and off the sets. And this was quite evident from her regular online updates in her favorite social networking sites. In her updates she has written lots about Neil, and how much she enjoyed the work she shared with him.

Deepika has also gone to the extent of calling him, “a good and nice person” while raving about his ‘passion, enthusiasm, commitment and dedication’ to the job he does.  Wondering what will be Neil’s reply to the same? Or will he the next one in the queue behind the gorgeous Deepika Padukone?

No time for love, says Anushka Sharma

The doe-eyed beauty, Anushka Sharma who made her debut in the hit, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is all flying high these days.  The actress is currently in London, and she is there to watch the premier of her latest flick, Badmaash Company with her family. The actress says she is not all embarrassed to view the intimate scenes she shares with Shahid in the movie with her family.

She says she has never hidden anything from her family. And hence doesn’t mind viewing it with her family members. She signed this movie basically for her brother who is an officer in Merchant Navy.  And believes the audiences today are okay with such scenes and are highly open-minded.

This is her second movie since her debut in 2008, in which she was casted opposite the King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan. Anushka who in turn got a number of offers after her first flick kept rejecting each due to the resemblance it had with her first movie’s character. She feels it’s extremely boring to the same thing. And variety is what the audience prefers.  To notice the movies she has done till date are all associated with big banner like Yash Raj banners, that one dreams to work with.

Anushka isn’t looking at multi-starrers at this point, though. “It’s important for me to do strong roles as I’ve just started my career. When I’m a bigger name, doing better than I’m doing right now, I’ll consider them,” she says. Isn’t love important to her? “There’s no time for love. Relationships require commitment. I’m too selfish at the moment to be in one. My antenna is not up for love,” she smiles.

Barbara Mori wants more kissing scenes in Bollywood

The Mexican-Bollywood actress who shared sizzling on-screen chemistry with Hrithik Roshan seems not very happy with the Bollywood making an issue out of every kissing scenes in the hindi movies.

The actess has created a controversy with her liplocking scene in the upcoming movie Kites and according to her, Bollywood should not bother too much about some simple on-screen liplocks as they just acting naturally.

Interestingly, her liplocking scene with Hrithik in Kites, which has created controversies was suggested by none other than Barbara herself! The actual scene was only supposed to feature a “cheek kiss” but Barbara suggested it would be better if it was a liplocking scene! According to her, it will “intensify the chemistry” between her and Hrithik’s character.

Colin Hanks married Samantha Bryant on Saturday

Colin Hanks, an actor and Samantha Bryant, a New York based publicist ties knot in Lost Angeles on 8 May.

Colin and Samantha were engaged in June. Samantha told NYT that “He was the perfect gentleman”. Colin said in 2009 on NYT newspaper “We had the same group of friends and knew of each other, but never paid attention to it.”

32-years-old actor Colin is son of Hollywood mega star and Oscar winning actor Tom Hanks. Colin has dated the actresses Rachel Leigh Cook and Busy Phillips before he started dating Samantha Bryant. Colin has acted in films like The House Bunny, My Mom’s New Boyfriend, King Kong, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, Orange County, etc. He also stars in upcoming film Lucky and also in FOX’s cop comedy drama “The Good Guys” which to be aired from May 19.
