Heavy Metal singer Ronnie James Dio dies at 67

One of the most known metal vocalists Ronnie James Dio died of stomach cancer. He has performed with notable rock bands like Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell and Dio. He is considered as one of the most powerful voice of metal music genre.

Ronnie James Pandavona was born in an Italian family in Portsmouth, New Hemisphere, USA in July 10, 1942. Ronnie took his last name as Dio after a mafia called Johnny Dio.

In 1957, he formed a band called The Vegas Kings later called as Ronnie and the Rumblers in this he played bass guitar but he shift his profession to singing in 1958 when the former singer left the band and the band name was also changed into Ronnie and the Redcaps. After disband of the band, in 1969 he formed a band called Elf. After departure of Ritchie Blackmoore from Deep Purple, Ritchie formed Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio and other members from Elf. Ronnie recorded four albums with Rainbow (Ritchie Blackmoore’s Rainbow in 1975, Rainbow Rising in 1976, On Stage in 1977 and Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll in 1978). He left the band after difference between Backmoore and him.

After his departure from Rainbow, he joined Black Sabbath after Ozzy Osbourne left the band. He recorded the Black Sabbath album Heaven and Hell in 1980, Mob Rules in 1981, Live Evil in 1982. After that he left the Black Sabbath and began his band Dio. Dio has given hit songs like Holy Driver, Rainbow in the Dark, The Last in Line, Hungry for Heaven, We Rock, etc. Dio has recorded ten Studio albums. He returned to Black Sabbath in 1990 in the album Dehumanizer. In 2007 Ronnie and the member of Black Sabbath and they released Black Sabbat: The Dio Years (2007). Ronnie James Dio popularised the devil horn sign.

After struggling for six months of stomach cancer, Ronnie James Dio (67) died at 7:45 a.m. (CDT), May 16, 2010 in Houston, Texas as reported.

Many musicians like Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Slash (ex Guns n’ Roses and Velvet Revolver), Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, Ozzy Osbourne, etc. are mourning for the loss. Many others are posing in Facebook and Twitter for the legend.

Facebook fans want Musharraf back to Pakistan

Former Pakistan president Musharraf says he is being requested to come back to Pakistan by over 2lakh facebook fans. The former president is right now residing in Britain and he is all set to fight for the election in the term.

Pervez Musharraf has reportedly told a private TV channel that “200,000 of his Facebook fans are asking him to return to the country”. Addressing his fellow party men of the All-Pakistan Muslim League, he said that Pakistan has the potential to become a prosperous and developed country.

Musharraf was pronounced guilty and he was removed from power in 2008. He has been living in Britain ever since.

12 Killed in Waziristan in Pakistan

At least 12 militants have been killed in US drone strikes today in Waziristan, Pakistan. According to a news report released by Yahoo India, the people who were killed in the strike also include some foreigners. The incident took place in the north west region of Pakistan where many Taliban and Al Qaida operatives are hiding right now.

In the US drone strike, two missiles were fired, the target being a house in north region of Waziristan. The house was suspected to be hosting terrorists. The attack destroyed the house killing six militant who were hiding inside the house. Many others were injured and some of them died on the way to a nearby hostpital.

The complete details and identities of all the deads are not known yet. Some of them are believed to be foreign militants, most probably Al Qaida.

Taylor Swift donated for flood relief

Country singer and multi Grammy winner Taylor Swift donated $500,000 as flood relief fund in Nashville. “Tik Tok” hit maker Ke$ha will host a benefit concert in June16 Nashville.

20-years-old “Love Story” singer Taylor Swift says “It was the craziest thing that I’ve ever seen. I was at my house in Hendersonville, we were staring out the window, thinking it didn’t seem like rain. It just seemed like something in a movie. It was really emotional for me because those are the streets I learned to drive on. People’s houses are just ruined. It was so heartbreaking to see that in my town, the place that I call home, and the place that I feel most safe. I just send my love to my friends and neighbours who got hit harder than I did.”

“One hundred percent of the profits from ticket sales will go to help the victims of these devastating floods. Nashville helped shape me as an artist and as a person and my love for this city is beyond words,” Ke$ha says.

Ke$ha and Taylor Swift lives in Nashville. Country singers Keith Urban, Allison Kraussand Durius Rocker also made their donations.

The flood claimed 20 lives in Tennessee. $1 billion or more will cost for repair and cleanup for disaster affected area according to Tennessee daily newspaper Tennessean.

Taylor Swift is ready to pull out her next album. She said in an interview taken by MTV news that the new album is inspired by ‘Boys and Love’. “When I put out an album, I’d like to think that when people listen to that album it’s like a diary of what I’ve been through in the last two years,” she continued to MTV news. “So it’s a really fun way to express how I feel and what I’m going through.”

Osama’s account deleted from social network Facebook

One f the world’s most recently had a new user registered tot. The person was none other than the most notorious and the leader of Al-Qaeda,Osama Bin Laden. It was found that some one had opened an account in Facebook, with the name Osama Bin Laden. The address given on the profile was “on top of mountains”. With the intelligence officers, stating that there is a possibility of Osama residing in the mountains in between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Osama, who has been the prime accused for the 9/11 attack on the Twin towers, has always been under crucial search. The profile of Laden contained extreme Islamic content and he perhaps used it for showing his militants videos and postings about Islam.

With a number of people faking accounts and creating accounts in the name of many famous and infamous people, the Facebook officials have in turn taken measure to control them. The account which has been in active for about one month, seemed to have attracted about 1,000 fans to its profile.

The account, which was discovered lately, last week, has been disabled on Friday. The profile also contained videos and speeches pertaining to Islam

The profile had the name, “Prince of Mujaideen” and location as “top of mountains”.

Osama Bin Laden on Facebook? A report

One of the world’s most wanted terrorist and the Al-Qaeda leader, Osama Bin Laden has a new liking, the Facebook. Osama who has given his address a mountains of the world, uses the social networking site to show videos and speeches to the militants.

With a multi-million dollars reward to one who captures this person, according to this profile, Laden happens to stay in some mountains lying in the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The owners of Facebook have been given commands to shut down the profile with the title, “The leader of the Mujahideen, Osama bin Laden”.

The page was reportedly found to inactive from the past one month. Initially the contents were written in Arabic. But now the messages have started to appear in English too.
